Product Marketing Manager

Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and managing go-to-market activities related to the core messaging, positioning and competitive differentiation for the product in the marketplace and through our sales channels.  This role will partner with inter-departmental teams to manage marketing programs that effectively drive demand.   The Product Marketing Manager will be the expert in buyer behavior and translate this information into actionable, measurable marketing communication tools that are tailored to various audiences – prospects, customers, partners, and employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops and implements product positioning and messaging that differentiates iCIMS’ products in the market. 
  • Aligns with Release Delivery Team and iCIMS Labs teams to launch plans that effectively promote iCIMS’ products. 
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on iCIMS’ buyers as well as their buying criteria.  
  • Researches, understands and stays abreast of competitive market intelligence and determines how to position iCIMS’ products in response. 
  • Develops programs and materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of iCIMS’ products for our sales organization and assists with the delivery of tools that support the selling process. 
  • Establishes and adheres to project milestones and objectives. 
  • Contributes to the overall financial success of our products 
  • May design and deliver new release demos and webinars for assigned product(s). 
  • Makes recommendations to increase awareness of iCIMS’ product performance and competitiveness. 
  • Delivers quarterly road map briefings in conjunction with the Product Management team to the Sales organization 
  • Works with Product Content & IDD to provide strategic oversight for the creation of enablement tools 
  • Creates alignment and provides input to the development of advertising, public relations and other marketing outreach tools that are product-focused.  
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude are expected.  
  • Partners with Product Management Team to ensure messaging is aligned with product capabilities and strategic objectives. 
  • Works closely with the Product Content Team to inform the creation and maintenance of all product-focused marketing materials including, but not limited to, video scripts, demo scripts, webinar content, and sales collateral. 
  • Proactively partners with Financial Analysts and Product Managers to monitor and share product adoption and growth trends to senior leadership. 
  • Uses the most current brand marketing guidelines in trademarks, logos, and publications. 
  • Will attend trade shows, perform product demos and showcase the products at company events. 
  • Consistently ensures that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with iCIMS’ policies, procedures, and core competencies. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing preferred. 
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in product Marketing within a software B2B environment preferred. 
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of related experience in product management, business analysis, marketing, sales or technical writing. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.  Sharepoint experience a plus. 
  • Understanding of the HR industry /technology marketplace a plus. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.  Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively. 
  • Ability to interpret information from various sources and recommend course of action for the business in designated area of responsibility. 
  • Strong ability to scope projects, tasks and programs and prioritize projects and tasks. 
  • Skilled at managing relationships at all levels both with internal and external partners. 
  • Exceptional time and project management skills.  Must be able to iterate and readily adapt to change. 
  • Strong organization skills, with the ability to prioritize; multi-task and work with competing deadlines. 
  • High degree of comfort managing multiple, competing priorities in ambiguous environments.
