Job Description

Data Engineer II (DE II) will be part of a team of some of the best and brightest in the industry who are focused on developing scalable and responsive applications that touch our growing customer base every day.   As part of the Data Engineering team, DE II will work collaboratively with agile team members to review existing system functionality and to research and remedy issues as they arise. The DE II will report to the Manager of Engineering.   Our data engineers work primarily in Python and/or Java using AWS, Databricks, Apache Spark etc. for big data. Responsibilities:

  • Develop features and perform code reviews for scalable data products
  • Modify and Maintain features of scalable data products
  • Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and data reconciliation scripts
  • Collaborate with agile team members on achieving Sprint deliverables
  • Debug and resolve moderate to complex problems
  • Independently perform problem determination and resolution                                               
  • Consistently ensures that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with iCIMS’ policies, procedures, and core competencies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience with enterprise software development following industry best practices
  • Strong experience with building and deploying several enterprise scale solutions with Cloud based technologies such as MS Azure, Amazon S3 & Redshift, Snowflake
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering technology stacks 
  • Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, data profiling or data parsing and data migration
  • Experience with building ETL abilities for extracting actionable insights from huge volumes of data using data mining and database techniques 
  • Be able to conduct studies, rapid pilots, PoCs, Prototypes, and identify metrics 
  • Identify & implement best practices on data quality issues, root causes and remedies 
  • Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and data reconciliation scripts  
  • Work directly with business teams and leaders to understand requirements and communicate results 
  • Prior experience with Salesforce desirable
  • Experience with one of data penetration technologies such as Alteryx preferred
  • Programming experience with Java, Python and Scala highly desirable
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws desirable
  • Experience with kafka, mulesoft or other messaging/integration platforms is a plus

 

Education/Certifications/Licenses Required

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other technical degree and 1 years of software engineering experience.  
 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other technical degree and 2 years of experience developing recruiting software or 3 years of software engineering experience.
 
 
In lieu of bachelor’s or technical degree, we will accept 2 additional years of software engineering experience.
